A Thousand Landscapes
I see the eyes of a thousand landscapes looking down on me
I felt so lonely and my heart was beating oh so speedily
An acid drop in the ocean don’t mean a lot to me
I lost my heart
upon that storm
and now the lightning’s coming back for me
I caught the tears of a thousand eyes and I lost them one by one
I loved them all just to loose them too and they’re looking down at you know who.
My heart, my soul, my body my mind are leaving me for sure.
Does this mean I die, no I’ll never could die not as long as there’s a tear in an eye.
I watch that girl and I felt her eyes as she turned to look at me.
We talked and we talked, I never do that, this girl must have meant something to me.
The talk was short and the night so long
we didn’t get much sleep with the heat.
Along came the day and blow me away I didn’t even say we’d meet again.
I could have fallen for that girl if she could fall yeah fall for me…
The feeling of pain that burns deep inside said I won’t let you weep beaneath her feet
My heart, my soul, my body my mind are leaving me for sure.
At least I know I’ll never be alone and without a tear in an eye.
