The Child Within

Summer came, now summer's gone
And to that time of magic my heart still belongs
In every stranger's stare I see a place
That reminds me of the mystery of an ageless grace
When we laid in fields of orange and gold
Watch the lightning, heard the thunder roll
We were sheltered by our innocence
Never thought those days would have to end
