The Middle Lyrics
[Verse 1: Maren Morris]
Take a seat
Right over there, sat on the stairs
Stay or leave
The cabinets are bare, and I'm unaware
Of just how we got into this mess, got so aggressive
I know we meant all good intentions
[Pre-Chorus: Maren Morris]
So pull me closer
Why don't you pull me close?
Why don't you come on over?
I can't just let you go
[Chorus: Maren Morris]
Oh baby, why don't you just meet me in the middle?
I'm losing my mind just a little
So why don't you just meet me in the middle?
In the middle
Baby, why don't you just meet me in the middle?
I'm losing my mind just a little
So why don't you just meet me in the middle?
In the middle
[Verse 2: Maren Morris]
Ohh, take a step
Back for a minute, into the kitchen
Floors are wet
And taps are still running, dishes are broken
How did we get into this mess? Got so aggressive
I know we meant all good intentions
[Pre-Chorus: Maren Morris]
So pull me closer
Why don't you pull me close
Why don't you come on over
I can't just let you go
[Chorus: Maren Morris]
Oh baby, why don't you just meet me in the middle?
I'm losing my mind just a little
So why don't you just meet me in the middle?
In the middle
[Bridge: Maren Morris]
Looking at you, I can't lie
Just pouring out admission
Regardless of my objection
And it's not about my pride
I need you on my skin
Just come over, pull me in, just
[Chorus: Maren Morris]
Oh, baby, why don't you just meet me in the middle
I'm losing my mind just a little
So why don't you just meet me in the middle?
In the middle, no no
Baby, why don't you just meet me in the middle?
Oh yeah, I'm losing my mind just a little
So why don't you just meet me in the middle?
Oh, in the middle
Baby-y-y, why don't you just meet me in the middle, baby?
I'm losing my mind just a little
So why don't you just meet me in the middle, middle?
In the middle, middle
Take a seat
Right over there, sat on the stairs
Stay or leave
The cabinets are bare, and I'm unaware
Of just how we got into this mess, got so aggressive
I know we meant all good intentions
So pull me closer
Why don't you pull me close?
Why don't you come on over?
I can't just let you go
Oh baby, why don't you just meet me in the middle?
I'm losing my mind just a little
So why don't you just meet me in the middle?
In the middle
Baby, why don't you just meet me in the middle?
I'm losing my mind just a little
So why don't you just meet me in the middle?

Okay, my first question about “The Middle” is: am I the only one who was tricked by the bouncy beat and catchy tune? Am I the only one who thought this was just a happy-go-lucky dance number? Because – after simply hearing the song 100x a day on my radio – I just read the lyrics, and boy was I wrong.
I suppose that I should’ve been tipped off by the words “got so aggressive,” but wow, I did not think this song happened after a violent fight. After reading the lyrics, the song gets an A+ from me for the vivid imagery of a house completely torn apart (even though no one even notices because the song sounds so cheery – it also gets an A+ for successfully hiding a horrific fight in some bubblegum pop). While both parties seem to have made a serious mess of things (seriously, I’m over here hoping they have a contractor on speed dial!), we hear the singer still begging her partner to “just meet [her] in the middle.” I don’t know about you, but if someone tore the doors off my kitchen cabinets, they’d be out the door before they even had time to contemplate “just how we got into this mess.”
I think it is about eatting out this girls pussy, think about it the middle is talking about her pussy because it is between her legs and if you have ever watched porn losing my mind is a line that is said when a person feels a lot of pleasure like when your pussy is being eaten out
