Mind
Mind

Sittin' all alone
Mouth full of gum
In the driveway
My friends aren't far
In the back of my car
Lay their bodies

Where's my mind?
Where's my mind?

They'll be here pretty soon
Lookin' through my room
For the money
I'm bitin' my nails
I'm too young to go to jail
It's kinda funny

Where's my mind?
Where's my mind?
Where's my mind?
Where's my mind?

Maybe it's in the gutter
Where I left my lover
What an expensive fake
My V is for Vendetta
Thought that I'd feel better
But now I got a bellyache

Everything I do
The way I wear my noose
Like a necklace
I wanna make 'em scared
Like I could be anywhere
Like I'm reckless

I lost my mind
I don't mind
Where's my mind?
Where's my mind?

Maybe it's in the gutter
Where I left my lover
What an expensive fake
My V is for Vendetta
Thought that I'd feel better
But now I got a bellyache
Maybe it's in the gutter
Where I left my lover
What an expensive fake
My V is for Vendetta
Thought that I'd feel better
But now I got a bellyache

    Song Meaning

It is about the guilt feeling that Biliie Eilish feels after she murdered her friends and her lover. Billie doesn’t know what she is doing in that action where she is murdering them. Afterwards she thinks “what have I done? why did I do this?” that’s why she said “where’s my mind?” So it illustrates the unawareness in these actions. Billie first thought it would feel good to kill the people she loves and cares but the term “bellyache” clarifies that she got a strange feeling in her belly because she didn’t knew what she was doing while she was killing them. The “noose” that Billie brings up should compound the guilt more intense. Billie also mentions that she is carrying the corpses with her and what she was doing with them.
