We started this based on clinical depression and mutual loneliness
It's not love, it's just co-dependency
Waiting for something, we were lost at sea
So we shared our scars, locked them together like puzzle pieces
But when the picture was completed, it still felt empty. We still felt empty.
So we said our peace, set off in different directions
In search of different connections
For somebody else to take the blame
And we swore we'd meet up again
In some brighter place once we both felt human
It's not enough to say it's over
When we're both just sinking ships anchored to one another
And I'm pretty sure this is all my fault
And so are you, so
Take a chance on somebody else
And if it don't work out, then we can say we tried
Send me a post card from where ever you end up
