I think it's kinda something special and heart-to-heart for me. The first time I have heard this song was nearly three years ago when I watched cmbyn (movie "call me by your name"). To be honest it is one of my favorite Sufjan's songs and I really don't know why. it is something special and unique in this song, maybe something mysterious and attractive. Really nice song despite of its sadness and sorrow
