A primitive civilization looks up to the sky, to the myriads of stars... Dreaming of traveling among them...
The primitive civilization is about to test their first Hyperdrive FTL ship. Counting down before activation of the Hyperdrive engine.
Activation of the Hyperdrive engine was successful. Of course it does end up looking quite strange and odd, but the first FTL jump across an hyperlane has started.
The first jump from that civilization is about to end. Sensors start to gather data on the endpoint of the jump. The jump was a success, and the crew is excited at what they will see when they arrive...
What they see turns out to be a barren star system. Some resources that could be extracted, but no signs of life. The galaxy is pretty empty after all, and it ends up being a disappointment.
But the success of the first FTL jump means that another jump can be made, and maybe the next jump will lead to a more interesting place, a more interesting place full of life maybe?
All in all, a pretty normal way for a game of Stellaris to start.
