Hey You Lyrics
Hey you, it's really good to see you
I've got so much to tell you
But you should know I'm doing fine
Hey you, had a story to tell you
But honestly, I can't even remember
Really doesn't matter
Never seen you this happy
Never seen you so peaceful
Even though you can't hold me
Hurts you, hurts me, but you're here
And when the days are getting dark
Nights are getting hard, I see you
And when I laugh until I cry
I don't even know why I feel you
Hey you, funny thing I found that old t-shirt
We thought you lost it
It's still the softest
You know it made me
Put on your favorite Radiohead song
It took me back to
When we were driving down Laurel Canyon
And too fast you know you never slowed down
Final days were the hardest
I didn't think they would be your last
Hope you know I forgive you
Give anything to get them back
But know that everything's okay
I'm doing okay without you
I know you had to go away
I'll tell you everyday I miss you
Hey you, I know you always
Liked to get the last words in
Before you go
You should know
I love you more
I said so
I've got so much to tell you
But you should know I'm doing fine
But honestly, I can't even remember
Really doesn't matter
Never seen you so peaceful
Even though you can't hold me
Hurts you, hurts me, but you're here
Nights are getting hard, I see you
And when I laugh until I cry
I don't even know why I feel you
We thought you lost it
It's still the softest
Put on your favorite Radiohead song
It took me back to
When we were driving down Laurel Canyon
And too fast you know you never slowed down
I didn't think they would be your last
Hope you know I forgive you
Give anything to get them back
I'm doing okay without you
I know you had to go away
I'll tell you everyday I miss you
Liked to get the last words in
Before you go
You should know
I love you more
I said so

I think the song is about Cory Monteith, because if you look at the lyrics it gives hints such as "Funny thing I found that old t-shirt we thought you lost it." and "When we were driving down laurel cannon and to fast you know you never slowed down." and when she says "Hey You I tell you every day that I miss you" and just all the time when she says "Hey You", that's how I know its about Cory Monteith.
Yes, this song is about Cory Monteith. Lea wrote IfYou Say So after Cory Died, in that song she’s questioning If what they had was real and it showed how hurt and angry the he left her. Lea has said Hey You was a follow up song to IYSO. But in Hey You, Lea is forgiving him and remembering the great time and the great love they had together. She believes he is finally at peace. She will always love him and remember them. Living her life as Cory would have wanted for her.
I know Lea has been having her past behaviors being slung through the mud and her “castmates” , really just extras in the background, questioning her every conversation and her behavior how it effects tehm. But frankly I feel like it’s sour grapes. If not for Lea these extras and Ware wouldn’t have even had a job on Glee. Ryan left it up to Lea if the show would continue, Lea said Cory would want them to finish what her & Cory started.
That being said I refuse to believe that she was all bad. Cory wouldn’t have loved the person these riding on her “coattails” cast mates describe.
