This song feels like it's about battling day to day depression. You wake up feeling horrible, but you decide to pull yourself up and see things with rose colored glasses since that can be so much easier that actually facing reality. We hang from the pedestal trying to decide to see life as a rose colored mirage or to drop down to face our darkest places.
