Ice Fishing

Me and my ten-arms
Fishing lines in a lake of ice
Frozen beaneath and starving
My lips will ?
Wait in the cold for gesture
And then rate it from sweet to ..?
I drop a line and try to look alive, hoping that something fat comes out
I can sense that somewhere, someones sinking his teeth in too
The than that got away from me tonight
I keep a journal for my best friend
And a bottle of aperitif
Keep the fire stoked long enough
So I can cook my projected feast
I imagine they're all painting
Trying to lure in all the others
But she's just coming for me this time
One of my ten hands
I can feel the grapple hold
And try to pull me on down to her
I think I just might sink down to her level this time
And after I turn blue I can spend all time with you
Unless you are just passing for an anvil, oh my

I felt something tugging so I pulled out my line
It was just a little piece of meat
So I threw it onto the fire
Watched it burn in bright white
And I fell asleep

Presuming I'll be found
Clear this day when the ice melts down
