Stormbending Lyrics
Time is a human construct
And you were below the waves
Time after time, July was in her eyes...
And you lie, you lie
To your soul
Your soul
Your soul...
...let it fly
I remember rainy days in Chinatown
Oh, I hope you'll be okay
Time after time, July was in her eyes...
But you lie, you lie
To your soul!
Your soul!
Your soul!
Your soul!
All we're offering is a chance to be loved!
And you were below the waves
And you lie, you lie
To your soul
Your soul
Your soul...
...let it fly
Oh, I hope you'll be okay
But you lie, you lie
To your soul!
Your soul!
Your soul!

The title, Stormbending, sounds a lot like Avatar's "water/air/earth/fire bending." Storms represent hard times - and the "bending" implies exercising some amount of control over it. So to me the title conjures up the idea of working with the hard times, using a hard time to improve yourself, etc.
"Time is a human construct, and you were below the waves."
Sounds like looking back and having regrets, or wishing for the past, happier times to return, but realizing it cannot be so. Thus you are depressed, "below the waves." Also this may refer to being stuck in the past, or fretful for the future, unable to focus on and be content in the present moment.
"Time after time, July was in her eyes."
July is summer - I believe July is used to symbolize the happier times in our lives. First loves. Things like this.
"But July, you lie... To your soul!"
When we go through hard times, it's common for people to get more in touch with their spirituality, their higher values. When the July's of our life come, it can be easy to toss these "higher" things aside, "lie to your soul." We can fall out of accordance with our own values while we live it up during "July." The hard times can better enable us to "let our souls fly," (spiritually develop) simply out of the desire we have for relief from our pain.
"I remember the rainy days in Chinatown Oh, I hope you'll be okay"
Not sure what to say here other than more imagery of looking back in the past, possibly having regrets, etc.
"All we're offering is a chance to be loved"
I always end up reading the most spiritual meaning possible into these songs (but with a title like "Transcendence" for the album, that seems natural). This sounds to me like a call to action to stop "lying to your soul" and come into line with your higher values, which is accelerated by it no longer being "July." Join the "faithful," for lack of a better word... So that is the use/bending of the "storm" - to accept the offer that you were once more able to ignore.
