Last to Fall

My take on this song is that it represents a person who is grieving for the loss of someone who is very close to them.

Here are my interpretation of the lyrics:

"And I fly Further away Than I've ever been before It's safe to say

This sky Is lonely and grey"

• This represents the person trying to go through their lives normally. they try to "fly" through their daily routines but they find that world or "sky" is empty without the person that they loss.

"But every night I feel your gravity waves And the world is cold But it's beautiful I wish you were here now I miss your soul"

• These lines indicate that person still remembers their loved one every night either though their memories or through their dreams. They lament the fact that they are experience all of life's hardships and successes by themselves without their loved one.

"But you lost your light When the darkness called"

• This points that the person that they are missing really has died. where the "darkness" refers to death claiming their soul or their "light".

"But I stand here waiting The last to fall"

• This line indicates the person's desire to live on with their lives to the fullest. also indicating that this may also what their loved one would have also wanted.

"And I fly Above the enslaved My soul is burning Like an earth reclaimed And I try A final crusade This world is changing But I'm still the same"

• These lines indicates that they are fortunate for they have many opportunities to succeed in life. opportunities that others "the enslaved" could only dream of. The person says that they will try to take these opportunities to live their lives to the fullest. even though they still feel the pain of losing someone. they will try to move on because they fear that the world will leave them behind as they are stuck in their memories of the past.

"And will you be bold Will you lose control? I could never desert you I could never let go

If you fall in line And the zenith calls I'm standing waiting The last to fall" -The person still laments on the memory of losing their loved one, referring to when they died and went to the "zenith" or the sky. but still saying that they will still move on with their lives until death will take them too as the "last to fall".

"It's your magnetic hold A gravity pull I can feel you in waves When your melody comes It falls from above I will not be afraid"

• These lines show that the person has lived their life and may be nearing death themselves. they say that they can feel their loved one calling for them from "above" or from heaven. the last line states that they are satisfied with their life and is no longer afraid of death because they can finally be reunited with their loved one.
