In my personal opinion this is about beginning to let go of somebody who you still love but can't be with anymore. You don't have time for each other and you can't change who people are at their core. Even though the foundation is there, the relationship isn't stable enough to hold. Even though you're letting go, you're still deeply in love and that's always going to resonate in lyrics and memories no matter how much time passes. Nobody else will compare to that but you still can't hold on because it isn't healthy or wasn't meant to be. This kind of deep but fleeting connection is something I've had a lot in my life and I think that's why this resonates with me out of this album.
