Is this possibly tied into Nothing to Forget. A very similar theme in that it seems to deal with someone wanting to be left alone, they've got enough of their own problems to deal with and don't need the burden of yours / others too.

The "crux" and title to me suggest that someone else is trying to impose their will / issues / thoughts onto the narrator, and they are saying they don't need this ... they already are "Trying to survive this place" (life).

My Interpretation
