daylight
in bad dreams
in a cool world
full of cruel things
hang tight
all you
nothing like a big bad bridge
to go, go burning through
daylight
in bad dreams
in a cool world
full of cruel things
hang tight
all you
nothing like a big bad bridge
to go, go burning through
in bad dreams
in a cool world
full of cruel things
hang tight
all you
nothing like a big bad bridge
to go, go burning through
in bad dreams
in a cool world
full of cruel things
hang tight
all you
nothing like a big bad bridge
to go, go burning through

The title of this song, "Acid Rain" inspires loneliness. When you're in love, everything is beautiful, especially rain. But when you're lonely, rain is depressing; rain hurts; rain burns. Like an acid.
The lethargic anguished sound of this song stands in stark contrast to the lyrics which encourage us to never give up hope (daylight) despite the hardships of life (bad dreams). We should learn to take the bad with the good in this world. Things don't always go as well as we think they should. We should hold on to our dreams and live our life to the fullest. The "big bad bridge" is our life. We have to realize that one day we will die. Live your life your way!

@eyf3dvuwgsxm greatest interpretation of the lyrics not to mention some of the smoothest sentence structure I’ve had the pleasure of reading in a long time. And you say English is a foreign language?! You should write novels!!

Well if it is depicting high school cheerleaders but in a dark last death dance theme . I think this song is about young people rushing to get through hard times high school rushing to grow up sometimes in the haste the young rushing make bad decisions that have life long implications or in this case the ultimate demise you die before you get the chance to take it slow realize your potential . But when your young high school it can be hard to see the "daylight " in life or you're "bad dream". The world is amazing but it is filled too with cruel things too" but u just gotta "hang tight" you gotta struggle through" you know take it slow to see that daylight hang tight . But no just like those girls you go rushing through life or driving ur car fast and you burn right through that bridge and they end up crashing and dying. But by the time the driver realizes it she is already at the end of her death dance . The damage is done and they all paid the price for not hanging tight taking life slow through the struggle to the daylight through the cool world and cruel things of there bad dream . But it's not a dream they are dead and there is no daylight in death.

I think this song is meant as words of encouragement when fighting through your darkest times.
It's interesting to me that the two settings mentioned are dreams and the world. The lyrics describe the inner world as dark ("bad dreams") and the search is for the daylight, whereas the outer world is described as good ("a cool world") and the goal is to avoid the cruel things. So to me the lyrics encourage one to search for their inner light and avoid the cruel things that they may face in the outer world. "Nothing like a big bad bridge to go burning through" is about the process of finding the light within you or becoming aware of the cruel things around you and beginning the fight against the things in your inner and outer worlds that had been holding you down. There's nothing wrong with having to burn these bridges down, no matter how big they've become in your life. Of course it's tough when you don't have many other bridges or any good bridges to keep, but I think that's the point of the song. When you're in a deep low, the process of changing and fighting to rebuild the good things in your life is tough, and that's okay.
I'm not fully convinced on what the title may mean, apart from symbolizing how the pain and struggle experienced during one's darkest times can feel.
The haunting and echoey sound gives me a feeling of loneliness, as in it is ultimately you who must face the darkness inside of you and the cruel things around you. Nobody can do that for you. As moody and anguished as the song sounds, I think its meaning is more positive and about holding on while you fight against the bad things in your life to rebuild and strengthen the good things.

This may help. Best analysis of the video so far.
Danse Macabre. This song is about dying and still fighting for life, cause girls in the video don't know they don't have a chance. This dance is a brutal, beautiful, young voice, the dance is almost out of control of dancers, this is a word NO to the death, to the horrible truph. There's no optimism in that song. It is purely about strangeness of dying young or living with chronic disease and grasping for air of your former life. The contrast of their dance and the fact of death is so sad and shocking.
