This man can sense the passion of a relationship has died down.

He senses that his sweetheart is fantasizing about other people while they are intimate together, as is he.

As they walk about town, he suspects she, like he, looks about the crowds of people wondering which people among them would have special things to offer if they were to break up and choose others.
