Pale Machine Lyrics

I'm feeling good let's say
My emptiness has gone away
I just woke up today
Eat my corny flakes for you

Good morning, how's the weather dear?
My feelings are so clear
I just wanna be with you
Doing what you do, always
Show me how to live

(Handeoshitayouni)
Just a perfect life
(Manmaru manmaru)
Pleasure in every move we make
(Handeoshitayouni)
Perfect every time
(Manmaru manmaru)
Maikai

Will you lead me straight to paradise?
Will you feed me?
Everything is nice here
Kanji ga ippai, ame ga furitai desho

Hold me, I'm a pale machine
Life is just OK out here, anyone can see
I'm lonely, with my pale machine
Eyes will run with tired tears
Leaving like a dream

I'm born anew, my fingers push the buttons
Thoughts come through now
Akachan mitai, mama sama ga ippai desho

I feel that this song is when people choose to live for someone else and when the person they live for are absent life returns to chaos. At the start of the song it says “let’s say my emptiness has gone away” . This suggests that they cast aside their emotions for this guise of happiness. Shortly afterwards it says “eat my cornyflakes for you show me how to live “ I think this highlights the fact of pinning hope onto this one person and using them as the only source of joy . However from the sudden change of “just the perfect life “ to being a “pale machine” might suggest that that instead of currently living for someone they are pretending that they are still living for that person however they have been long gone and the “perfect life” that was being spoken about was just fragments of memories forced into false reality. The sudden change of themes shows when their mentality breaks from this daydream. This could further be supported by the line “leaving like a dream” The last line ,talking of being a baby might suggest how desperately they wish to go back in time when they still had something worth living for
