I came here long ago in expectation
Better times and greater harmony
But now it's very clear to me
There can be no salvation in such a place

I descend through the City of Nets
Under steel-grey skies, under spying eyes
Under seas of depts
Where kindness is illusory, where money is all usery
And those above are too serine to care
Where clutching hands reach out for me
Survival is in doubt for me
