Might be a bit obvious, but I think this song at it's core is about Jesse's wife. Crazy analogies and metaphors aside. I think he's just talking about how much of a blessing she is in his life. Or maybe I'm romanticizing it too much.
I love all the themes of alchemy and this song in general. I don't understand why people are so quick to pick apart a song just because it doesn't sound like old material. I kind of enjoy it a lot
