Scars Revelaed

Revealing the scars that you left on my body
It's an action I take to hurt myself clean
I hope to offend with most blaring annoyance
But you say these wounds are just minor abrasions
These things that I take to be utter revolting
The holes in my soul that I just bled for you
Are always passed by with no hesitation
Yet I look in the mirror at darkened decay
Is it true that you find me easy to look at?
Is it true that my wrongs do not set me apart?
Could it be my self image, this utter distortion
Then tell me how come I still feel this way?
The scars on my soul I carve them for you
They're relenting and venting in self sacrifice
Can't you see that I want to destroy my own body
When cutting myself I can cut into you
I want you to cringe when you smile at me deceitly
The things that I should hide I must show them to you
I pray for your scorn not your understanding
These poignant thoughts are just blunted on you
Is it true that you find me easy to look at?
