Monody (feat. Laura Brehm) Lyrics
Those hazy days I do remember
We were running still
Had the whole world at our feet
Watching seasons change
Our roads were lined with adventure
Mountains in the way
Couldn't keep us from the sea
Here we stand, open arms
This is home, where we are
Ever strong, in the world that we made
I still hear you in the breeze
See your shadows in the trees
Holding on, memories never change

I think it is referring to a friend or best friend who died or moved away, or just stopped hanging out and they miss them. I relate with this interpretation.

Summer in the hills is a place she obviously remembers dearly cause the next line says thise hazy days I do remember we were running still so still is a past tense meaning they were running from or for something I think she remember they where running in the hills and she had some sort of love and with the next line the whole world at our feet usually mean they are on top of the world and the next line indicated the had been doing so for a while as seasons are a form of time and they must have had great adventures cause no mountains gonna stop them from getting to where they wanted to go and they used the SEA as a metaphor next to lines shows us that they feel free and they are happy where ever they are and the next line tells us they ain't gonna be stopped but the next line indicated loss someone either left her or they happened to die and shes all alone so long story short the lyrics show us she lost someone she loved very dearly

I think this is a girl reflecting on past memories, or having extreme nostalgia, and wishing she could go back.

Monody is part of a story by TheFatRat. This is the part of the story where the main protagonist(aka Laura Brehm) loses her boyfriend in space. She obviously goes through this later on in Mayday. If you go to google and search up TheFatRat storyline, the wikipedia tells you the entire story.
@Lunablade i searched it up and i can’t seem to find the story other than just fan speculations. where exactly is the story?

This is the link to the storyline. https://fantheories.fandom.com/wiki/How_TheFatRat_songs_are_connected This may seem like a fan theory stuff but I believe thefatrat has acknowleged it
