You got an albatross around your neck, around your neck.
You got a hundred broken lightbulbs above your head.
They said that you had it coming but I wouldn't bet.
'Cause you got a slowly ticking time bomb,
And then you see red.
Sunblind, sunblind.
You got an albatross around your neck, around your neck
You got a pile of broken wishbones under your bed
And you got a hungry green-eyed monster that you keep fed
And it keeps on coming over, it wants you dead.
Sunblind, sunblind
Oh, you burnt the lungs that your ancestors created.
You sat by the banks of the river and you waited.
Till time rolled back and the water had abated.
You drank, you share but you still could not be sated.
Quicksands of the mind and the sinkholes you may find.
When you look through the twisting of the vines,
the twisting of the vines.
Time comes round again, it's etching at your bones.
Chill wind comes round, it's blowing through your home.
Quicksands of the mind and the sinkholes you may find.
When you look through the twisting of the vines.
You burnt the lungs that your ancestors created.
You sat by the banks of the river and you waited.
Till time rolled back and the water had abated.
You drank, you share but you still could not be sated.
You said you're scared of the clocks that keep ticking over.
I'll find a way through a life that we're living over.
Again and again
Through a life that we're living over, again and again
A life that we're living over,
Again and again, again and again and again.
Again and again, again and again and again.
You got a hundred broken lightbulbs above your head.
They said that you had it coming but I wouldn't bet.
'Cause you got a slowly ticking time bomb,
And then you see red.
You got a pile of broken wishbones under your bed
And you got a hungry green-eyed monster that you keep fed
And it keeps on coming over, it wants you dead.
You sat by the banks of the river and you waited.
Till time rolled back and the water had abated.
Quicksands of the mind and the sinkholes you may find.
When you look through the twisting of the vines,
the twisting of the vines.
Chill wind comes round, it's blowing through your home.
Quicksands of the mind and the sinkholes you may find.
When you look through the twisting of the vines.
Again and again, again and again and again.
Again and again, again and again and again.

The albatross is his green eyed ex-wife who who keeps fed through child support, meanwhile she has planned a hit to kill him involving a car bomb which, unbeknownst to everyone he is a federal secret agent, and has the bomb removed and than he sees red in anger 😡 I can go on

There's quite a few metaphors used that you need to understand in order to get the meaning.
"Albatross" is a pretty common term for dead weight. The "broken lightbulbs above your head" likely mean ideas or plans that failed in some way. "ticking timebomb" and "seeing red" is probably the most obvious, it refers to some form of anger.
the "green eyed monster" is another pretty common metaphor, this one for envy.
The rest are less clear to me, but I think enough to get the gist of it. The song is about someone who is agonizing about how their life has gone and are afraid of wasting the rest of it, and in the process it is causing even more problems, though the exact nature of them is hard to decipher.
I think it's about being insane at the beginning, believing the world's horrible, blaming everyone else for this. At the end somebody says anyway life is worthy to live.
What I think of this is that he is scared about what an albatross will do to him and that it will strangle him like his own nature
