One of the bests choruses I've ever heard. Infinitely amazing. It's so feel-good and mature but tongue-in-cheek at the same time. 'Send my love to your new LUH-huh-ver!' Her heavenly background vocals are the best. How does she do it?!

I believe Adele is looking back at her time with a former lover, she is looking back at all the good times and wishing they were still together but she is realizing she can never enjoy her new life if she keeps wishing for what could have been.So she decides to live above the hurt and the wishful thinking and wish their new love all the best regardless of the fact it still tares them apart.
She loved him deeply and wanted a future with him. And was much more mature and ready for the relationship than he. He hurt her, he ruined the relationship, maybe even cheated. He's moved on... he's with someone else. She was heartbroken, but she's getting over it, trying to move on. Eventually she learned to let it all go and forgive him, or rather she doesn't care anymore. She's emotionally scarred.
