This song is so deep and beautiful. I love the line " I'm running with you as fast as I can singing to myself I wanna hold your hand" That old Beatles song, right? How fast to run to hold that hand? Faster than the person might be capable of. Also, going "Downtown" is what people do to be cool and to make them feel alive. The soundscape of the music never implies fun. The song seems to hint on the anxiety of loving someone that might not love you back, because they are not as serious about the relationship.
Wow this song hit me hard. I'm not sure what it means but to me its about remembering the best moments of a past relationship. Just like the downtown area of a city is the best the city offers, it cam be compared to the best memories of a past relationship that you miss. I imagine reminiscing in my mind about moments I treasure as the best moments of my life and wonder if we were together, how it would feel. Amazing
I think it's about a sad soul who met a person who showed them that maybe it's not that bad all the time. The rhythm is hypnotic, his voice is dreamy, I know this site is about the lyrics but this song has feeling. He fell under the spell of another person and it was beautiful, no matter the outcome.
