Kinda sounds like it's about Eric Glomski.. his old wine mentor/ business partner
(After only two listens) I say; 'Smoke and Mirrors' for Hillary, like 'The Arsonist' was to/about Trump and 'The Remedy' was to/about Trump and his supporters (or maybe even online zealot, troll, jagoffs in general, "left" and "right"). That's how read into it anyway on first impression.
Puscifer song "Smoke and Mirros" is most likely about Cam De Leon. The "friend" that sued Tool over the artwork and one of the main reasons there hasn't been another Tool album in a decade.
