This song is about freedom, obviously, but the band brings the meaning of freedom closest possible to the day-to-day view. The point here is that being free brings gifts, but also has down sides. The first lines tell of a lost man, who doesn't know who he is, where he belongs and so on. I take it he is suffering, bur that isn't shown through the melody or lyrics.
