Congregation Lyrics
Sometimes the congregation takes the other side
An inquisition of familiar lies
A grave distraction from our quiet ride
Sometimes the congregation can’t make up its mind
Incarceration creeps up from behind
The implication is its own device
In the middle of a salient fight
Sometimes congregation can’t be satisfied
Can’t be bothered with the ways and whys
Generations like the waves and tide
An inquisition of familiar lies
A grave distraction from our quiet ride
Incarceration creeps up from behind
The implication is its own device
In the middle of a salient fight
Can’t be bothered with the ways and whys
Generations like the waves and tide

This song reminds me of my upbringing in a religious cult similar to the Mormons. Wonder if their congregation is the same as what I am thinking and what I experienced. If it was, they did a FABULOUS job of expressing the feelings a congregation can do to you and understanding your place in it.

It literally sounds like one of the infamous Inquisitions (pick one... they all have a common "theme").
