Throne Lyrics
Remember the moment you left me alone and
Broke every promise you ever made?
I was an ocean, lost in the open
Nothing could take the pain away
So you can throw me to the wolves
Tomorrow I will come back leader of the whole pack
Beat me black and blue
Every wound will shape me
Every scar will build my throne
The sticks and the stones that you used to throw have
Built me an empire, so don’t even try
To cry me a river cause I forgive you
You are the reason I still fight
So you can throw me to the wolves
Tomorrow I will come back leader of the whole pack
Beat me black and blue
Every wound will shape me
Every scar will build my throne
So you can throw me to the wolves
Tomorrow I will come back leader of the whole pack
Beat me black and blue
Every wound will shape me
Every scar will build my throne
I’ll leave you choking on every word you left unspoken
Rebuild all that you’ve broken
And now you know
I’ll leave you choking on every word you left unspoken
Rebuild all that you’ve broken
And now you know
Every wound will shape me
Every scar will build my throne
So you can throw me to the wolves
Tomorrow I will come back leader of the whole pack
Beat me black and blue
Every wound will shape me
Every scar will build my throne
Broke every promise you ever made?
I was an ocean, lost in the open
Nothing could take the pain away
Tomorrow I will come back leader of the whole pack
Beat me black and blue
Every wound will shape me
Every scar will build my throne
Built me an empire, so don’t even try
To cry me a river cause I forgive you
You are the reason I still fight
Tomorrow I will come back leader of the whole pack

I love this song so much! Bit off topic, but has anyone heard of the band FROM INSIDE?? Well I read on Twitter that Oli Sykes and Jordan Fish have written all the music for them cos they are good friends in the UK. Check out their music video for their single BE YOURSELF - FROM INSIDE by searching on Youtube, it sounds very BMTH but still its ridiculous good obviously. Mad that they are doing this too for friends bands now, really love them :D
I love this song! I think its about someone giving up on him and throwing him 'to the wolves' (the bad crowd) so they can tear him apart and 'eat' him up. But being thrown to the wolves shaped him to be the man he is today 'every wound will shape me'. Basically he is saying 'you can bully me, bash me, not warn me (every word you left unspoken), 'throw me to the wolves'. Whatever you do I will always come out the stronger one.' OR 'all that you've done to me in the past has shaped me to be the awesome man I am today (oli sykes).' Anyway, that is more or less what I think this song might be about. This song is awesome! BMTH rulz!

I think it's about taking the good from bad experiences. Someone who treats you badly tries to bring you down, but he is turning that around by using how he was treated to build himself up and make himself stronger. It's basically a big middle finger to whoever's treated him badly. I love it. I think it's a very empowering song.
The song might be about his breakup with his girlfriend Amanda Hendrick in summer 2012. "Remember the moment you left me alone and broke every promise you ever made."
He went to rehab for one month in 2012. The "wolves" might be the people who wanted him to believe in God because "the house of wolves" in the song of the same name is a metaphor for organized Christian religion.
I think this song is about someone who was raised by wolves, notice the "So you can throw me to the wolves Tomorrow I will come back leader of the whole pack" line.I think he was raised by wolves but decided one day he wanted to become an ordinary person so left the woods to become a member of society. It is about the difficulties of fitting in with modern society after being raised in the woods by wolves your entire life.
@SomethingCool I think you've taken it a bit too literally... being thrown to the wolves is a saying which indicates that someone's been involuntarily pushed into focus to take the blame for something, basically setting up a scapegoat. Coming back leader of the pack infers that the narrator will overcome the situation and turn it to his advantage.

The song seems, to me, to be about pressing forward and not giving up, turning weakness to strength, and learning from adversity.
