Addition Lyrics
At 22 I found you and I followed you,
That’s why
At 25 we tied the knot, reluctantly,
That’s why
At 27 I saw you walking out the door,
You know
That’s why
At 32 I left you when you needed me
The most.
I still love you, like I’ve always done
You can count on me, we’ll add it up.
At 26 cold splinters crept in, baby,
You know
That’s why
At 29 I went to the doctor. he said,
“Kid, this is why:
At 31 you’ll be losing track of time and so
much more, you know,
That’s why.”
At 33 I promise you, if I make it
To next year,
I’ll still love you, like I’ve always done.
You can count on me, we’ll add it up.
If I make it to next year, we’ll finally add
it up,
If I make it to next year.
I still hold you like I’ve always done
Count on me. We’ll add it up.
I still love you, like I’ve always done
You can count on me, we’ll add it up.
That’s why
At 25 we tied the knot, reluctantly,
That’s why
At 27 I saw you walking out the door,

Lyrically and musically this sounds like it would have been right at home on Thursday's No Devolucion album (and I mean that as a compliment).
My interpretation is that Geoff is chronicling the events (good, bad, and otherwise) and relationships in his adult life.
