Killed by drones
My mother, my father
My sister and my brother
My son and my daughter
Killed by drones
Our lives between your finger and your thumb
Can you feel anything?
Are you dead inside?
Now you can kill from the safety of your home with drones
Amen.
My mother, my father
My sister and my brother
My son and my daughter
Killed by drones
Can you feel anything?
Are you dead inside?

Matt said about this song that: "It's a lament for the victims, it ends on this ghostly chorus of the forgotten, they will never see justice, and they have been killed by a robot, there's something inherently tragic about humanity there".
drones are the people who tell us what to love and believe, when they "kill" they actually turn us to be drones like them. with the technology we can send our "drones"- influence, from our homes. this is about people who lost who they are, we all actually so affected by the surrounding, we are all drones in some way, this is so sad that they close it with amen like there is no way back.
Yeah I think of it like it's all the people who's lives we've ruined and didn't even bother to give them the honor of saying goodbye. If we destroy the life of a criminal does that not make us killers ourselves?
