I've heard different lyrics to this song but i think it means that Kaneki is scared or uspet that he's gonna lose his human-ness to the ghoul part of him, ", I simply don't want to hurt you." That part means Kaneki doesn't wanna hurt Hide or anybody else. But, he wants everybody to remember him with his human part. But pretty much, he doesn't wanna lost himself to the ghoul part of himself.
