Good Old Friend (Never Goin' Down) Lyrics

[Chorus x2]
I’m never goin’ down.
I’m never goin’ down again,
even if they all pass me by.
Even if they all pass me by.

I wish I had an old friend.
If I had a good old friend
to drink it in the kitchen,
I’d love him from ten 'til ten.

I’m never going down.

I wish I had a little friend.
I wish I had a good little friend
to sneak into my garden gate;
I’d love him from eight ‘til late

[Chorus x2]
I’m never goin’ down.
I’m never goin’ down again,
even if they all pass me by.
Even if they all pass me by.

Most of this seems accurate, the only thing I am really unsure of is these lines:

"to drink it in the kitchen," & "I’d love him from eight ‘til late."

I know there's a chapbook that I ordered, but these were taken from ear. I am going to ask the band if it's okay to print the lyrics here, as I wouldn't want to disrupt sales of their chapbook.
