Wolf in Sheep's Clothing Lyrics

Beware, beware, be skeptical
Of their smiles, their smiles of plated gold
Deceit so natural
But a wolf in sheep's clothing is more than a warning

Bla-bla-black sheep, have you any soul?
No sir, by the way, what the hell are morals
Jack, be nimble, Jack, be quick
Jill's a little whore and her alibis are dirty tricks

So could you
Tell me how you're sleeping easy
How you're only thinking of yourself
Show me how you justify
Telling all your lies like second nature
Listen, mark my words, one day
You will pay, you will pay
Karma's gonna come collect your debt

Aware, aware, you stalk your prey
With criminal mentality
You sink your teeth into the people you depend on
Infecting everyone, you're quite the problem

Feefifofum, you better run and hide
I smell the blood of a petty little coward
Jack, be lethal, Jack, be slick
Jill will leave you lonely dying in a filthy ditch

So could you
Tell me how you're sleeping easy
How you're only thinking of yourself
Show me how you justify
Telling all your lies like second nature
Listen, mark my words, one day
You will pay, you will pay
Karma's gonna come collect your debt

Maybe you'll change
Abandon all your wicked ways
Make amends and start anew again
Maybe you'll see
All the wrongs you did to me
And start all over, start all over again

Who am I kidding
Now, let's not get overzealous here
You've always been a huge piece of shit
If I could kill you I would
But it's frowned upon in all fifty states
Having said that, burn in hell

So tell me how you're sleeping easy
How you're only thinking of yourself
Show me how you justify
Telling all your lies like second nature
Listen, mark my words, one day
You will pay, you will pay
Karma's gonna come collect your debt

Karma's gonna come collect your debt
Karma's gonna come collect your debt

This song is about betrayal, and the feelings of hate, anger, and vengeance you have for having to deal with other people's BullS. It's telling you to "beware" and "be skeptical" of people who seem too good, because they are all a wolf in sheep's clothing, waiting to prey on your emotions after they had used you for their own selfish s. These psychos have no souls and have no remorse for all the agony they put you through. So, what's the use of morals if people are so bad? You're just setting yourself up to get hurt again. Really, because these people live without guilt, and feel good about their own lies. You can wish as much as you want that they might become better people, but the truth is, they're never going to change, and they'll continue their sick ways. You hate them so much, that you wish that one day, Karma will catch up with them, and you will revel in laughter when you see their downfall, when justice takes vengeance on their painful existence.

I understand that this song is about someone with a grudge against someone else. In my mind, the lead singer is referring to Harley Quinn.

This song is a sequel to Set It Off's cover of "I Knew You Were Trouble" by Taylor Swift. It's about the lead singer, Cody Carson's, ex cheating. His ex cheated on him, and he wrote this song basically to say that she (ex) doesn't care about anyone but herself and that eventually, karma will repay her for what she did to him.

Song Meaning

@sirena1023 Not the band's cover, I apologize, Cody's cover.

I think this song is about politicians, or any other 'sickly sweet' people that disguise their true nature while doing despicable things secretly, and how infuriating they are. But their secrets will come out eventually.

I think this song is about a friend who stabbed him in the back and how the betrayal effected him and they saying how he wish he could get back at the friend for stabbing him in the back and the line karma gonna collect your debt means he is going to get revenge for what they did and No sir, by the way, what the hell are morals means the friend doesn't know what morals are
