Right Now Lyrics
I see you praying on the dance floor
See you moving so inspired
It's got me wondering what you're asking for
Why your soul is setting fires
See, I've been trying locked doors
It's getting kind of tired
Like a lot of a people, wanting more
Reach for carrot, want a bite
(You see) Right now
(Have it) Right now
(The moment) Right now
So don't hold tight
Revolution, evolution
Rolling back the status quo
How the pace of evolution
Often seems a little slow
But the breath between the split seed
The nothing there that shows
It's the infinite and finite
If you want it, let it know
(Saying) Right now
(Praying) Right now
(The moment) Right now
It's all a flow
(Saying) Right now
(Praying) Right now
(The moment) Right now
Come on, let go
Falling into the all-at-once
Letting go of the things they taught
Had me thinking about the nature of one
And imaginary need for the silly little things
Past the right now, right now, the right now, love
Let go of the souls you lost
Embracing the careful bard
Had me thinking about the nature of one
An imaginary need for the silly little dream
Past the right now
There's a golden light that's right here
There's no bottom to this well
Wealth of loving, wealth of ideas
Peace of mind beyond the self
There's a golden light that's right here
There's no bottom to this well
Wealth of loving, wealth of ideas
Peace of mind beyond the self
Breathe in the moment and it magnifies our love
Even the soul, even the soul
Falling into the all-at-once
Letting go of the things they taught
Had me thinking about the nature of one
And imaginary need for the silly little things
Past the right now, right now, the right now, love
Let go of the souls you lost
Embracing the careful bard
Had me thinking about the nature of one
An imaginary need for the silly little dream

I think this song could be about one of two things.
1) Not aiming for anything past right now, and being satisfied with casual hookups because long term things aren't really practical and never really last or work out and cause so much pain. So it's better to avoid them and just focus on having a good time in the moment.
OR
2) The key to long term relationships IS focusing on the right now. The lyrics seem to be warning against fixating too much on the past or present, (the people who are locked doors because they're waiting for something "serious" to happen with someone who "wants more", "let go of the souls you lost," ... etc.). So the solution is to let go, and just enjoy life and take things as they come.
Either way, it's a great song.
