In Her Arms You Will Never Starve Lyrics

In her arms you will never starve.
You will never freeze, and when the world is hard,
You can fall asleep there.

In a world of chaos, she could be your silence.
The oceans of her kindness, they will pull you under-
They will pull you under.

So fall in. Break through it,
And when you stumble in the cold,
She will urge you onward.

And in your darkest hour,
Should storms rage around you now,
Her love will be a shelter,
And she will pull you under-
She will pull you under.

What if you can’t turn back?
What if you can’t turn back-
When you’re finally tired of running-
Tired of running?

What if you can’t turn back?
What if you can’t turn back-
When you’re finally tired of running?

What if you can’t turn back?
What if you can’t turn back-
When you’re finally tired of running-
Tired of running?

What if you can’t turn back?
What if you can’t turn back-
When you’re finally tired of running-
Tired of running?

In her arms you will never starve.
You will never freeze, and when the world is hard,
You can fall asleep there.

In a world of chaos, she could be your silence.
The oceans of her kindness, they will pull you under.

What if you can’t turn back?
What if you can’t turn back-
When you’re finally tired of running-
Tired of running?

What if you can’t turn back?
What if you can’t turn back-
When you’re finally tired of running.

(What if you can’t turn back?)
In her arms you will never starve.
(What if you can’t turn back-)
You will never freeze, and when the world is hard,
(When you’re finally tired of running-)
You can fall asleep there.

(What if you can’t turn back?)
In a world of chaos, she could be your silence.
(What if you can’t turn back-)
The oceans of her kindness, they will pull you under.
(When you’re finally tired of running.)
They will pull you under.

I think this song has quite a few parallels to "The Grey Man", and is about getting back together (and staying) with the woman in which he wanted to run back to. He is finally in her arms for good.

Just discovered this song recently... wow... it is now my new ode to my wife of 20+ years... no matter how difficult the world can seem, we can still find a way to fall asleep in each other's arms. Her "ocean of kindness" has pulled me under, more times than I can count.

What a beautiful song.
