In Comes the Flood Lyrics
(America, America)
(America, America)
(America, America)
(America, America)
America, America
God shed his grace on thee
All hail praises be to thee
Oh ye paper deity
As we hail our sacred cow
To the bankers we will bow
Endless profit from their wars
Making slaves of all the poor
Our new God is on the hill
The almighty dollar bill
I wanna burn down Wall Street baby
And fan the flames of discontent like Hades
Saints of red white and blue
Pass bonds of junk to you
Our flag is all but bled green
In comes the flood(in comes the flood)
Wake up America(America)
In comes the flood(in comes the flood)
Wake up America(America)
Live to buy or time to die
It's all for sail on credit lines
Till the fucking end of time
Shackled to the dotted line
Oh the market may be free
But not for you and me
Succumb as we forget
To the angel of debt
I don't give a fuck if I'm rich mother fucker
We bought that lie because we're a bunch of suckers
We're fighting for the scraps
We've let out conscious lapse
By turning cash into a God
In comes the flood(in comes the flood)
Wake up America(America)
In comes the flood(in comes the flood)
Wake up America(America)
Moneytheistic religion
Saints of the red, white, blue, and green
Who dare to inflate my life's interest rate
'Til their rich bellies burst at the seams
Our lives nothing more to them
Than a snap financial decision
Blinded by a TV screen
All hail the american dream
And woe to thee
A life empty
If we hold this dear
Then lose our fear
America(America) wake up(wake up)
America, America
God shed his grace on thee
In comes the flood(in comes the flood)
Wake up America(America)
In comes the flood(in comes the flood)
Wake up America(America)
In comes the flood(in comes the flood)
Wake up America(America)
In comes the flood(in comes the flood)
Wake up America(America)
(America, America)

Obviously talking about the "greed" rampant in America (across the world really though). Also that money speaks louder than anything else, when really it shouldn't. Our "religion" is now greed and as in the Bible (Noah's Ark) a flood (depression?) will eventually occur and "reset" the balance.
I really love the flow and clever use of words throughout this song.
The first two lines really highlight this to me:
"All hail praises be to thee, Oh ye paper deity"
The sample sung sections by a backing chorus are also quite haunting (but just really suit this song so well).
This song is about how people nowadays worship money, praising it, and fighting over it. Similar to the golden idol that people created in Moses' absence, which fits the title of In Comes the Flood. The flood will come to wash away our sins, like in the bible, and rid us of our new money-theistic religion; It's trying to wake us up from our greedy ways like the flood did the sins of the earth. Lest we succumb to the angel of debt.
