I mean to me this just screams "Fan song", as metal heads are typically looked down upon "unwanted and dumb", and that Robb has an "army" But thats just me
According to Robb Flynn in the audio commentary for this track, this song is about their fans, the headcases, as they're called. It is partially inspired by the name given to a group of crows. There are names given to groups of animals; a group of ravens is called a judge of raves, and for crows, they're called a murder of crows. With that in mind, this track is about what a group of Machine Head fans is called, Headcases.
Agree with @glowcakes94 in that this definitely comes across as a song about their fans (and how they may be "different" / outcasts of society).
Not sure I get the "dead" reference though. If Robb wanted to refer to fans as something in the abstract I would have thought a metaphor for an "outcast" would have been better than dead.
Not a bad song, but probably lacking a bit of a great riff to really grow and become a crowd favourite.
I think this song is literally about murder victims and when their killer dies they essentially think about all their victims and possibly about how they'll get their just desserts in the after life.
