This song talks of an abusive relationship and the cycle of violence that lives in it, with a protagonist who thought they had a perfect relationship, but it had escalated to physical abuse. They have eventually grown tired of taking all the abuse and beatings after getting beaten with a phone until they had bled, and decide that they don't need them anymore. The title as well can also be seen as having two meanings, with one side being the POV of the victim, and the other being their desire to be in a better, safer place away from their abusive relationship.
