Burnin’ for You Lyrics
home in the valley
home in the city
home isn’t pretty
ain’t no home for me
home in the darkness
home on the highway
home is in my way and
home I’ll never be
burn out the day
burn out the night
I can’t see no reason to put up a fight
I’m living for giving the devil his due
and I’m burnin – I’m burnin – I’m burnin for you
I’m burnin – I’m burinin – I’m burnin for you
time is the essence
time is the season
and time ain’t no reason
and I got no time to slow
burn out the day
burn out the night
I’m not the one to tell you what’s wrong and what’s right
I’ve seen suns that were freezing and lives that were through
and I’m burnin – I’m burnin – I’m burnin for you
I’m burnin – I’m burinin – I’m burnin for you…
home in the city
home isn’t pretty
ain’t no home for me
home on the highway
home is in my way and
home I’ll never be
burn out the night
I can’t see no reason to put up a fight
I’m living for giving the devil his due
and I’m burnin – I’m burnin – I’m burnin for you
I’m burnin – I’m burinin – I’m burnin for you
time is the season
and time ain’t no reason
and I got no time to slow
burn out the night
I’m not the one to tell you what’s wrong and what’s right
I’ve seen suns that were freezing and lives that were through
and I’m burnin – I’m burnin – I’m burnin for you
I’m burnin – I’m burinin – I’m burnin for you…

"I’ve seen suns that were freezing and lives that were through"
That may be the lyric--but I've always thought the song was about a man professing how strongly he desired a woman, who had "gone cold" toward him, and that the line was:
"I've seen signs that we're freezin', realized that we're through."
Seems to make a lot more sense to me. If it really is "suns that were freezing" then it ranks right up there with "wrapped up like a douche"
