Fix what’s wrong, but don’t rewrite what the artist wrote. Stick to the official released version — album booklet, label site, verified lyric video, etc. If you’re guessing, pause and double-check.
Respect the structure
Songs have rhythm. Pages do too. Leave line breaks where they belong. Don’t smash things together or add extra empty space just for looks.
Punctuation counts (but vibe-editing doesn’t)
Correct typos? Yes. Re-punctuating a whole verse because it ‘looks better’? Probably not. Keep capitalization and punctuation close to the official source.
Don’t mix versions
If you’re editing the explicit version, keep it explicit. If it’s the clean version, keep it clean. No mashups.
Let the lyrics be lyrics
This isn’t the place for interpretations, memories, stories, or trivia — that’s what comments are for. Keep metadata, translations, and bracketed stage directions out unless they’re officially part of the song.
Edit lightly
If two lines are wrong… fix the two lines. No need to bulldoze the whole page. Think ‘surgical,’ not ‘remix.’
When in doubt, ask the crowd
Not sure what they’re singing in that fuzzy bridge? Drop a question in the comments and let the music nerds swarm. Someone always knows.
This song is about falling in love, getting hurt, moving on. All while still in love. All while knowing, that even though they destroyed you – you would give anything to have them back.
So you do what you can, You move on. Some parts are easier than others. At the end of the day, you are still in pain, you are still broken.
You do the only thing you can – you learn from it. You will never let another person hurt you this way again. No one will ever get that power over you. You know better now. You know what to compare it against.
This song is about loving and giving yourself to another and after they fail you, you deciding you will never do that for another.

I feel like I thought about this song different from others... for me it's when you're somehow lost in your life, maybe depressed, and suddenly you find someone who you didn't really expected to close to, but being with them somehow teaches you so much about yourself, about what do you really want and it makes you see how low you were, then suddenly how much you changed while being with them. So you slowly fall in love but realise it way too late when they're no longer reachable (this songs just feels like remembering someone who's not by your side anymore), so you just have to live on with everything you learned from them, like the most precious thing that ever happend for you even though it all just hurts now
Just how I see it personally in light of life events. :)
"I'll use you as a warning sign
That if you talk enough sense then you'll lose your mind
I'll use you as a focal point
So I don't lose sight of what I want
I've moved further than I thought I could
But I miss you more than I thought I would
I'll use you as a warning sign
That if you talk enough sense then you'll lose your mind"
"I'll use you as a makeshift gauge
Of how much to give and how much to take
I'll use you as a warning sign
That if you talk enough sense then you'll lose your mind"-
I view those lines in context of my ex. How I see him now. I use him as a lesson, as a focal point or point of reference for future relationships. I gave so much and got so little back and so got so much grief and stress in the process. I sacrificed so much and have learned how much shit I should take now before quitting.
The lines
"I found love where it wasn't supposed to be
Right in front of me
Talk some sense to me"
They remind me/refer to my current boyfriend. I found him in the strangest of places- we had both JUST gotten out of long term relationships, me three weeks or so before him. We found love in the aftermath of... heartbreak.
Love is such a strange and complex thing. Comes up when you least expect it. :)

Exactly how I feel about this, going to be what my husband and I dance to at our vow renewal. 12 years- I was with a friend of his for 1yr 7months, in all that time they only saw each other 1 time. 2 weeks later we revealed how we felt and 12 years later we're renewing wedding vows with a mortgage and a family. ♡ Blessings to you

Seems to me like someone who was hurt in a past relationship, telling that person that they don't fully regret what happened. They learned from it and they wouldn't change that, but they're done with this person. They found love unexpectedly afterward and the person they left still wants to be with them but they know that all the "sense" you can talk won't change the facts. That person was bad for them.
I think the song signifies two people in a relationship but the other was cheating on them with someone they both knew maybe a friend, and that’s why they say it was right I front of them, and they tell the other person to try to explain which is put as “ talk some sense to me”
I feel this in my soul, narcissistic relationship In a nutshell, no healthy relationship will ever feel like one with a narc.. They make you feel so incredible but they destroy you. Once you realize that you have no choice but to leave, which breaks you.
He will forever hold a special place in my heart, it's like greaving a death..
