This song simply tells the story of how he/she once was friends with someone and for a reason unknown to him/her, she/he has used what he/she has said to turn his friends against him who are now fading away from him.
The first time I heard this song, which was about a month after the film clip came out, a girl I was once friends did this exact same thing to me. This song pretty much summed it up, great song.
