Imagine My Surprise

and that’s when i saw her
she was lookin’ pretty fine
i knew i had to have her
yes i had to make her mine
and she’s got a reputation
for breakin’ people’s hearts
i’ll take my medication
before she rips mine apart
and so imagine my surprise
i could not believe my eyes
and she was walkin’ up the me
so i looked up to the sky
and i said “thank you lord again,
“guess i owe you one bigtime”
and he said “that’s alright my friend,
“yeah the pleasure was all mine”
and this is not about the weather
and it’s not about degrees
this is not about the pressure
that’s been weighing down on me
and it’s not about the sunshine
you know it’s giving me the chills
i don’t wanna waste your time time
but if you want me to i will
and so imagine my surprise
i could not believe my eyes
and she was walkin’ up the me
so i looked up to the sky

sometimes i see you smile
and sometimes i see you frown
and everytime i make you cry
is everytime i ‘ve let you down
well i’ve got pictures on my fridge
and i’ve got pictures in my room
so don’t you worry,
i’ll never forget all the things we used to do
and if you ever saw that face,
if you ever saw that smile
well she can make you feel a grown-up,
she can make you feel a child
and so imagine my surprise,
well i had to rub my eyes
she was walkin’ next to me,
yeah she lost that other guy
so if you want a little advice
and you want it to be sound
it’s never worse to touch the sky
than it is to hit the ground
