In this song through my eyes, It hits kind of a personal note because me and my friend Marlee grew up together like brother and sister. Her father committed suicide at a very young age for her and seeing how they were like a second family to me it was hard to comprehend for both me and her. My interpretation of this is that the father was struggling with some kind of health problem that was fatal and told nobody but he loved his daughter. So when the time came around. He killed himself leaving his daughter behind. She was angry that he did that also conflicted. But eventually she realized that life is hard but love is stronger than that. So she forgave him finally and began to heal. She also came to terms with the fact that bad things do happen in life "This isnt the end" Meaning he hasent left her. and she is just beginning her adulthood and not leaving her father behind. Despite him killing himself he hasent left her. and never will.
