"The Other Woman" = The Mistress

"The other woman has time to manicure her nails" - pretty obvious, she has time in her day to manicure her nails,unlike the Man's wife.

"And she's never seen with pin curls in her hair, anywhere. The other woman enchants her clothes with French perfume" this woman obviously values her beauty.

"The other woman is perfect where her rival fails" - She is "perfect" in every way possible,better than the Man's wife.

"There are never toys that's scattered everywhere"- She has no kids, therefore her home is spotless and stress free unlike the Man's home.

"'Cause to be by her side, It's such a change from old routine" - This affair is exciting and adventurous, something that the Man isn't getting at home with his wife, therefore its a change in routine.

"But the other woman will always cry herself to sleep The other woman will never have his love to keep" - She knows that he will never truly love her,he will always go back to his wife.

"And as the years go by the other woman Will spend her life alone" - This woman is getting involved with Married Men, the reason why she will spend her life alone, is because she keeps getting involved with married men,and she knows that she is being treated as the Mistress.therefore accepts the fact that she will always be the Mistress.

This just my interpretation, it may be wrong but oh well :) ~Jessica B

This song is really vague- it's hard to really figure out what it is getting at.

After careful analysis, I've decided it is probably about Marie Antoinette's beheading. The references to "French perfume" "lonesome Queen" and "curls in her hair" were the most telling.

I hope Lana decides to do a music video for this one starring Kristen Dunst!

I really love this song. Makes me think what i will sing and think and be coming through when my husband of bf cheats on my. Somehow i just feel like this way.
