Earth Is the Loneliest Planet Lyrics
Earth is the loneliest planet of all
Earth is the loneliest planet of all
Day after day you say, “One day, one day.”
Day after day you say, “One day, one day.”
But you’re in the wrong place
And you’ve got the wrong face
And humans are not really very humane
And Earth is the loneliest planet of all
Earth is the loneliest planet of all
Live with a lowness that no one else knows
Time after time you say, “Next time, next time.”
Time after time you say, “Next time, next time.”
But you fail as a woman
And you lose as a man
We do what we can
And Earth is the cruelest place you will never understand
But you're in the wrong skin
And the skin that you're in says,
"Earth, let it begin."
And Earth is the loneliest planet of all
Earth is the loneliest planet of all
Earth is the loneliest planet of all
Day after day you say, “One day, one day.”
Day after day you say, “One day, one day.”
But there's always a reason why you're refused
They always blame "you, you, you"
And there is nothing anyone can do
Earth is the loneliest planet of all
Day after day you say, “One day, one day.”
But you’re in the wrong place
And you’ve got the wrong face
And Earth is the loneliest planet of all
Live with a lowness that no one else knows
Time after time you say, “Next time, next time.”
Time after time you say, “Next time, next time.”
And you lose as a man
We do what we can
And Earth is the cruelest place you will never understand
And the skin that you're in says,

And Earth is the loneliest planet of all

And there is nothing anyone can do

I noticed this only had one comment, so I thought I'd have a look. As I scrolled down and saw the comment I was bloody annoyed. Why, I ask, do people feel it necessary to say every song, interview and word by Morrissey is to do with his homosexuality? I also find it quite funny. Why? Because it seems that people have no intelligence whatsoever to think of anything different. Just because many have claimed Morrissey is gay, it doesn't it is true (it isn't, he is bisexual) and even if he was, why would every song be about it? Somebody's sexuality doesn't define them and the fact that people think being homosexual or bisexual defines a person is homophobic and the same for bisexuality (I'm awfully sorry, I don't know the term for going against bisexuality). If you truly think a song is about homosexuality then I have no problem with it, as I think one or two songs imply this, but please leave if you are a idiot and can't think of anything else in your mini-school mind. Katherine.
@tellmemore i am an idiot and this is my oppinion about this song...which i like a lot

I think it's about feeling lonely because no one accepts you for who you are.
"And humans are not really very humane". Humans only accept others if they are exactly how they "should" be.
"And earth is the cruelest place you will never understand". People get frozen out of groups, beaten up, even stoned to death for not following the social rules.
"But you failed as a woman, and you lose as a man". No matter how you act, you don't fit in as either a male or female.
I think this is about homosexuals' life and society denial
