Well there is something, something you believe in
But you can’t touch it, and you can’t hold it
Well there is something, something you believe in
But you can’t wait for it to take away a bit of time
In a nonspecific party, in a nonspecific city
Or anywhere, anywhere you feel this way, like
This song or, that song
Act like you feel it but it doesn’t heal you and it doesn’t make you smile
Is there’s something you are trying to express?
It’s not that you need it, it’s that you need it
Is there’s something you were trying to express?
If you can’t get on without it, then you can’t get on without it.
Is there a weight that you were trying to unload here?
But you just can’t get it, you can’t get it off now
And then you get it, get it in your bloodstream
And you feel at home with it, but you just can’t get relief.
And there it comes again
And you give in again
And there it comes again
Your limitation
And there it comes again
And you give in again
And you give in again
Your limitation
Is there’s something you were trying to express?
Express it with me, express it with me
And if there’s something you were trying to express?
It’s not that I need it, it’s that I need it.
And is there a weight you were trying to unload here?
But you just can’t get it, you can’t get it off now.
And then you get it, get it in your bloodstream.
And you just feel at home with it but, you just can’t get relief.
And there it comes again
And I give in again
And there it comes again
And I give in again
My limitation
And there it comes again
And you give in again
And I give in again
Our limitation
Well I think I, I see it coming
Because I recognize it when I see it
Well, do you feel it, like I feel it?
Cause I need to know I’m not alone in it
I feel a habit, I feel a habit forming
I feel a habit, I feel a habit forming
I feel a habit, I feel a habit forming
I feel a habit, I feel a habit forming
I feel a habit, I feel a habit forming
Do you feel it, like I feel it?
Cause I need to know I’m not alone in it
Cause I need it, and I believe it,
And I think that I can’t live without it
I feel a habit, I feel a habit forming
I feel a habit, I feel a habit forming
A habit, a habit, a habit, a habit, a habit
I feel a, I feel a
A habit, a habit, a habit, a habit
I feel a, I feel a
Do you feel it like I feel it?
Cause I need to know I'm not alone
A habit, a habit, a habit, a habit
I feel a, I feel a
A habit, a habit, a habit, a habit, a habit
I feel a, I feel a
A habit, a habit, a habit, a habit, a habit

pretty obviously a song about drug addiction, and a pretty fuckin good one
One things for sure-this is a great f’n song. It has an early Talking Heads vibe, and maybe I thought of David Byrne irony or maybe it was just me but I saw it being about masturbation. The lines “there it comes again And you give in again ”then Is there a weight that you were trying to unload here?”. The lyrics are spot on but it is very much how the singer sings them. I really dig how he starts off talking, then singing then just emoting. Then there is the way the song ebbs and flows, greatly enhanced by the singers voice and stinging guitar lines. Then again the melodic bass lines and drumming whole the whole piece together perfectly.
Funny thing I thought I had nailed it till I read the drug interpretation- I was like “Oh yeah I totally see that now”.
its the modern day Heroin. or something akin to it. brilliant song and album. one of my favorites from 2014.
