Getting Naked, Playing with Guns Lyrics
Getting naked and playing with guns
There's a gerbil in the microwave, a baseball bat in everyone
Sharing kisses and building a bomb.
We'll set it off like Microsoft in '94.
We'll set it off like Microsoft in '94.
McDonalds PlayPlace before the Xbox.
Cake frosting, sweet talking, bedroom wall
Covered in knives, touching God, burning shit
We'll make a wish and take a trip to Future Town like our daddy did
And we'll kill the neighbor kid who only wants to be our friend
His dad is dead enough that his new dad his new dad can kill the bends
We'll make a wish and take a trip to Future Town
Feeling weird, yet tasting sweet.
It's a top bottom rock smoking magic mask making it bleed
Feeling sweet, getting weird
Now I can see the playground through the trees
And I can see the playground from the trees
And we'll show the neighbor kid what our love actually means
He's here from out of town and I heard he's got A.D.D.
We'll climb the tallest branch with a rifle full of dreams.
And we'll blow the little dickhead up to smithereens
Getting naked and playing with guns
There's a gerbil in the microwave, a baseball bat in everyone
Sharing kisses and building a bomb.
We'll set it off like Microsoft in '94.

This song makes so little sense that no one has even tried to interpret it here yet.
It makes sense. Just think about it. The feeling of nostalgia says it all.

To me this song is a very nostalgic one, reminding me of the time ofchildhood and early puberty. It shows the mindlessness, playfulness and curiosity of older children/younger teens. As well as the fantasy and cruelty that comes with it. Nudity when it didn't mean anything or just started to do. Feeling weird is something everybody that age knows. Setting it off like Microsoft before their big break, trip to future town like daddy did. It sounds like the big plans kids make while idolizing their dads. Playing with guns and burning sutff is also not unusual especially with boys. Kids also tend to be cruel to the "weird" kid who just moved here, tries to fit in. Especially if he doesn't have a "normal" family and maybe doesn't behave in a normal way. They're not cruel because they're evil, but because they don't know any better and don't realize the consequences until later. Letting him play along but excluding him by "killing" him off. The touching god part may indicate the stronger faith children have before they start questioning it. But as a lifelong atheist I rather think of the divine beauty and infinite timelessness everything seems to have when you're young. This song makes me feel similar as revisiting Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn as an adult. It makes me nostagic without making me feel like everything was better in the past. It just was different and very beautiful. I'm sorry if my English makes some stuff hard to understand, I'm not a native speaker.
@FritzSH Well said. Also -- your English is just fine; I would've never expected that it wasn't your first language.

Is he referring to the unibomber when he said ‘set it off like Microsoft in 94’ ?
