Appears that someone has had a hard life, is depressed and feels like any time they try to "get up" they are knocked back down. Now that person no longer wants to be saved. Any time they feel tranquility ('good') they think it is an illusion or a dream. That is, they no longer recognise happiness.
Little bit sad really.

This was the first song I heard of theirs, and loved it straight away. The music and changes in vocals just grabbed me straight away. Fitted the lyrics beautifully the vocals, although I can't really connect with the lyrics the music is beautifully haunting.
Pullulated is also my word of the day ...
