Come With Me Now Lyrics

Come with me now
Come with me now

Whoa come with me now
I'm gonna take you down
Whoa come with me now
I'm gonna show you how

Whoa come with me now
I'm gonna take you down
Whoa come with me now
I'm gonna show you how

Afraid to lose control
And caught up in this world
I've wasted time, I've wasted breath
I think I've thought myself to death

I was born without this fear
Now only this seems clear
I need to move, I need to fight
I need to lose myself tonight

Whoa come with me now
I'm gonna take you down
Whoa come with me now
I'm gonna show you how

I think with my heart and I move with my head
I open my mouth and it's something I've read
I stood at this door before, I'm told
But a part of me knows that I'm growing too old

Confused what I thought with something I felt
Confuse what I feel with something that's real
I tried to sell my soul last night
Funny, he wouldn't even take a bite

Far away
I heard him say (come with me now)
Don't delay
I heard him say (come with me now)

Far away
I heard him say (come with me now)
Don't delay
I heard him say (come with me now)

Whoa come with me now
I'm gonna take you down
Whoa come with me now
I'm gonna show you how

Afraid to lose control
And caught up in this world
I've wasted time, I've wasted breath
I think I've thought myself to death

I was born without this fear
Now only this seems clear
I need to move, I need to fight
I need to lose myself tonight

Whoa come with me now

Whoa come with me now
I'm gonna take you down
Whoa come with me now

To me the basic idea is someone so set in thier ways and too into thier head but very much wanting, or tempted by, the thought of just freeing themselves. Sounds like they want that change but are unsure if they can just move and get out of their own thoughts. Or if they're just too old.

YES THESE LYRICS ARE FINALLY HERE! Since I am the first one, I won't have a good comment, because I know almost nothing! lol! I think this song is a very deep song, but I don't know what it means. I feel like it may be religious, or regard good vs. evil. I have been working on a meaning for this song for months now. I NEED HELP!! IDK!!!

WHAT DOES IT MEAN?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? (This is the biggest mystery in my life right now!)

Certain parts of the song confuse me. I start coming up with a meaning and then all of a sudden I hear a part, and then what I was thinking makes no sense. Perhaps I am thinking too hard about this song.

To me, this song is about obsession and/or addiction.

mary100000: that could be!!! That really makes sense with the song! This song is just so good! And honestly, I like when it is hard to tell what a song means! But I will most likely interpret your way! It just makes more sense!

Best Lyrics: "I was born without this fear Now only this seems clear I need to move, I need to fight I need to lose myself tonight ... I think with my heart and I move with my head I open my mouth and it's something I've read I stood at this door before, I'm told But a part of me knows that I'm growing too old"

I thought I heard "Woe come with me now"

Is that Dave Matthews singing BYW?

TO ME this song is about embracing my eventual Death and not letting myself get down about it. Make my best effort with whatever time I have left.

Love this sound.

My Interpretation

unfortunately it is NOT Dave Matthews singing but the brothers who make up this band are from South Africa like Dave is........

@abraxas365 listening to this song now, I hate this song. Over commercialized.

The truth is this song seems a person tormented by the devil. The devil tells him to go with him, he says he was born without that fear.

They are two voices that are in the song: the tormented person and the devil.

The choirs represent the voice of Satan.

He mentioned that he tried to sell his soul, and from afar he heard him say: "Come with me now." The devil told him not to be delayed.

This interpretation is not original, nor is the first time that the devil is associated with a song, but this is what it looks like.

@puravida bingo! Absolutely cut and dry..... This song is almost that of a torment for me in my own conscience, i believe in Jesus Christ He is my savior, He is the world's savior! This song reaches deep inside me and i feel i shouldn't be listening as it's in defiance to what should be my obedience to the Lord, i know right how lame regardless the Kongos reach my soul with there heavy hard hitting turn me on kind of bad sound that feels so good!! This is a struggle that i like it too much and this scares me...

This is a great song. I heard it on the radio and I love it. Its about how someone is sick of their life and is gonna make it worth living and they're trying to get someone to come do it too

Love Kongos, they're Greek too which is awesome!

The song touched me even when I didn't understood a thing. Listening and watching it numerous times, I've developed some understanding.

The song is about the rejection of the artificial world and to lose yourself to be one with the soul.

I realize that now is the time having been afraid to accept myself for so long. "Afraid to lose control And caught up in this world I've wasted time, I've wasted breath I think I've thought myself to death

I was born without this fear Now only this seems clear I need to move, I need to fight I need to lose myself tonight"

Without self realization, everything seems meaningless and confusing. My words, my choices, my actions doesn't seem my own. My soul has lost zeal to fight back it seems as it wouldn't even warn me when I go on to sell myself. "I think with my heart and I move with my head I open my mouth and it's something I've read I stood at this door before, I'm told But a part of me knows that I'm growing too old

Confused what I thought with something I felt Confuse what I feel with something that's real I tried to sell my soul last night Funny, he wouldn't even take a bite"

I think I heard my soul asking for help from afar. And it seems that it won't last long like this. "Far away I heard him say (Come with me now) Don't delay I heard him say (Come with me now)

Far away I heard him say (Come with me now) Don't delay I heard him say (Come with me now)"

Having realized, I authoritatively command my soul to become one with me again. "Come with me now Come with me now

Whoa, come with me now I'm gonna take you down Whoa, come with me now I'm gonna show you how"

I'm ging to ver chesy (don't know if it's written correctly this and other words since english is not my language) Songs can be whatever you feel in the moment you heard them When it says I think with my heart and I move with my head I open my mouth and it's something I've read It's like we used to act for the things we are tough or because someone would say something bad. And we are just numb and incative. Now he wants to move but may be he feels to old to star acting witth the heart The part of taking you down maybe is about being vulnerable, stoping to be so "perfect" and put the guard down.

It could be for getting in love, for doing something in your carrer, or what ever you are not dearing to do

My Opinion

Love this song. Perhaps I am shallow (or revealing too much of myself) but felt like a guy self conscious in a party scene and life in general. Everyone else is loose and partying and coupling up and enjoying life, but he is lost in his own head and cannot connect.

I tried to sell my soul last night but he would not take a bite

I think with my heart and I move with my head I open my mouth and it's something I've read I stood at this door before, I'm told But a part of me knows that I'm growing too old

And the lyrics are pleading for someone to join him, but no takers.
