Runnin' Wild in the Night Lyrics
Black angels laughing in the city streets,
The joke's gone too far.
Street toys scream in pain and clench their teeth,
They hide in the dark.
Streetlight, spotlight on the cities crime,
They laugh while they fight.
Don't want to wait around for nothing tonight,
Never catch me blind.
We'll keep runnin' wild in the night,
The city won't let it go on.
Now, home sweet home,
On into the, now into the night.
Always, runnin' wild in the night.
Always, runnin' wild in the night.
Always, runnin' wild in the night.
Sweet tarts play the game, shoot to thrill.
You ain't safe in your beds.
They're runnin' free through the trash, dressed to kill,
They don't know what they missed.
The midnight, show-stop is on its way,
A funny money game.
Ten thousand bleeding hearts, to carry the stakes,
With 'em to the grave.
They're runnin' wild in the night,
The city won't let it go on.
Now home sweet home,
You're on into the, on into the night
Always, runnin' wild in the night.
Always, runnin' wild in the night.
Always, runnin' wild in the night.
The joke's gone too far.
Street toys scream in pain and clench their teeth,
They hide in the dark.
They laugh while they fight.
Don't want to wait around for nothing tonight,
Never catch me blind.
The city won't let it go on.
Now, home sweet home,
On into the, now into the night.
Always, runnin' wild in the night.
Always, runnin' wild in the night.
You ain't safe in your beds.
They're runnin' free through the trash, dressed to kill,
They don't know what they missed.
A funny money game.
Ten thousand bleeding hearts, to carry the stakes,
With 'em to the grave.
The city won't let it go on.
Now home sweet home,
You're on into the, on into the night
Always, runnin' wild in the night.
Always, runnin' wild in the night.

This song just screams the 1980's. It's awesome and I can't believe Motley never released a studio version. It blows away almost everything on Theatre, especially Save Our Souls, which some of the lyrics from Running were used for.
